L'ORÉAL PARIS PURE CLAY GLOW MASK || Review

For the past six months or so I have been working hard on finding my perfect skin care routine. It took me a while to realize how important it is to look after our skin and to stick to a routine that you trust and that truly works. I have slowly discovered the products that work for me and I can honestly notice a massive diference on my skin. I have realized just now that i haven't done an updated skin care routine post and I do have a few new things that I have to show you but first, I decided to tell you all about the new L'oréal Paris Pure Clay Face Masks.

L'oréal Paris recently has been releasing a lot of new products that I honestly have been falling in love with and this face mask is one of them. Since I have dry, dull skin, I thought that the new L'oréal Paris Pure Clay Glow Mask would be ideal for me.

This face mask is a powerful blend of three pure clays combined with red algae extract that is known for its brightening properties. The three pure clays used are  koalin, montomorillonite and ghassoul, each one with specific functions that all combined will do miracles to your complexion. From absorbing impurities and excess sebum to eliminating imperfections and cleared and brighter complexion, this product give you all you need if you have dry and dull skin.

The product comes well packed in a beautiful glass container, feeling much more expensive than it really is - it retails for £7.99, a great price for an amazing product.

To apply the product, i use a Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush that distributes the product easily without making a big mess. This face mask has small particles that gently exfoliate your skin either when you are applying or removing the product, giving a very smooth feeling to your skin. I leave if for 5 to 10 minutes as recommended and remove it with warm water or a wet towel, very gently. After the first application, I honestly felt like my face was as smooth as a baby bum.

They recommend you to use it two to three times a week. I have only used this product for the last week with two applications a few days apart and I truly believe that that is more than enough. I know that for some, using a product twice is not enough for an honest review but let me tell you that this is different! There is always that product that you fall in love with from day one and the L'oréal Paris Pure Clay Glow Mask is one of them.

If your skin if far from dry don't you worry, there is more to the Pure Clay collection. Apart from the Glow Mask, they also have a Detox Mask that detoxifies and clarifies your skin and a Purity Mask that purifies and mattifies the skin. All three masks have the same three pure clays and what varies is the extract added to them.

L'OREAL PARIS NUDE MAGIQUE CUSHION FOUNDATION || Review

Summer is just around the corner - although here in the UK it does not feel like it - and all the make up lovers are trying to find the dewiest foundation out there. A lot of people have been raving about the L'oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation as well as the L'oreal Infallible Pro Glow but while that one is not yet available in the UK, I thought I would start by trying the cushion foundation and give you a little review on it.

The idea of a cushion foundation was never something that pleased me at first. I would always think that it will dry quickly and that probably won't last for as long as the other liquid foundations I own.

Yet, as a beauty blogger that loves to try new products, I could not miss this new release.

After trying it for at least a week, my decision was made: I love this foundation.

The packaging is beautiful, it has a decent size mirror and a cushion that you are suppose to use to apply your foundation.

I have tried it and it does work and give the foundation a beautiful finish but it does take a little bit longer so I tend to grab my beauty blender instead and it works perfectly.

The foundation is very light weight but with a great coverage that I was not expecting. It blends like heaven and gives you a very dewy finish, perfect for spring and summer season as well as for us galls with dry skin.

Although it has medium to full coverage, the fact that is very light weight allows it to look very natural on our skin and not cakey at all.

It lasts for at least 6 to 8 hours without fading but I do tend to get that annoying extra oily glow on my T zone even having dry skin. I do have to carry a powder with me to set it after a few hours so I don't look greasy in that area.

Apart from that, this foundation looks flawless and it does not set into my fine lines as many others do and that is definitely a plus for me!

Overall, I think that this foundation is great for an everyday wear as well as a night out as you can really get a light or heavy coverage depending on how much product you dab on to your face. It looks and feels great on the skin, it is very easy to blend and it has a good lasting power. If you tend to touch your face quite often, you might have to touch it up but apart from that, it will look flawless for as long as you want.

The L'oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation retails for £14,99 which in my opinion is a bit pricey for a drugstore foundation. Yet, I do believe it is worth the money and I am considering to buy another on for when I don't have a fake tan as I do love this product. It has been my go-to foundation for an everyday look with a dewy, bronzed skin, very natural eye makeup, a bit of mascara and a pink nude lipstick. Perfect!

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS || Modern Renaissance Palette

Eyeshadow palettes are my weakness, I admit. It does not matter if I have too little or too much - an eyeshadow palette is always welcome to my makeup collection. Yet, I rarely buy high end makeup but this time, I really couldn't resist.

In my makeup drawer sits a couple of products by Anastasia Beverly Hills - brow definer, brow gel and a glow kit - and the quality is amazing but although they already have a few eye shadow palettes, I never felt like I needed to have any, until this cute one came around.

If you are a social media addict like I am, you have probably seen this palette all over instagram as well as YouTube and while at first I did not know if I would give that much use to such warm toned, berry shades, my opinion easily changed when seeing many makeup looks created with this palette and all of them so different and beautiful. This is definitely a very versatile palette and worth every penny.

Lets talk about the packaging - the colour is a beautiful pale pink, very girly and with a felt/velvet material. Although it does look really pretty and chic, it does tend to get dirty easily if you are not extra careful (like I am trying to be). It has a magnetic closure and a good size mirror on the inside, which is a plus for me. It also comes with a double sided brush that is actually very good quality.

Now the eye shadows are something from another level. For someone like me that is only used to have drugstore palettes, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette is a gift from heaven. Yes, you can find very good drugstore eye shadows but once you step up to high end makeup, there is no turning back. This palette as a total of 14 eye shadows and retails for £41, which is a very fair price for the quality and amount of product you get.

These eye shadows are indeed very pigmented and buttery but are also very powdery, if you don't dust away the excess product, you will definitely have a lot of fall out but that isn't something that puts me off. All of the eye shadows are so easy to blend and there is a mix of berry and nude/brown tones giving you a lot of options and inspiration for many looks.

I really don't have any regrets on adding this palette to my makeup collection. The quality of the product and the endless looks you can create with it is totally worth the price. ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS GLOW KIT IN GLEAM

Glowing skin and amazing highlights is all that I am for, specially at this time of year. I recently bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam and I cannot tell you how much I have been loving to use this palette on a daily basis.

For so long I have delayed this purchase but I really couldn't resist. You probably have read amazing reviews on this product and I am not going to say anything different. I love it! It has four different beautiful shades, my favourite being Mimosa, a beautiful golden bronze highlight.

All of them are so, so creamy and highly pigmented so you surely do not need a lot for a beautiful glow.

There is hardly any fallout and if you spritz your face with a setting spray and just before it completely dries apply the highlighter, you will achieve an even more intense but yet beautiful glowing skin, To apply my highlighter, I love using the Morphe M504 - a big blending brush that evenly distributes product and really works it into the skin giving you a natural finish. Absolutely love it!

I really can't tell you enough good things about this product. I know it is £39 but believe me, it is worth it. Your highlight game will never be the same!

INSTAGRAM BROWS: BROW WIZ VS BROW DEFINER

Since maybe two years ago, I did not now what brow products were. I would never fill in my brows because, honestly, I never felt like I needed it. Yet, the more I discovered about makeup, the more steps I would add to my everyday makeup routine and filling in my brows became one of them.

I remember starting with the Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Eyebrow Shaping Kit in Medium Dark - that I still own - and thinking that my brows looked amazing.

Then, I added another step: the brow gel, where I started with the L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper and oh, how I loved that product!

Not long after that, I decided that I needed more than just powder to fill in my brows. Everyone was raving about Anastasia Beverly Hills and as much as I wanted to try the so adored brow pomade, I went for the Brow Wiz in Dark Brown as I know that it would give me a more natural brow and would also be much easier to use. Not being enough, I also bought the ABH Tinted Brow Gel in the color Espresso.

Recently, I changed from the Brow Wiz in Dark Brown to the Brow Definer, also in Dark Brown. When this product was released, I loved how the shape was so different but still, it was designed with the purpose of helping you with the time consuming process that is to fill in your brows.

So, after trying both of them, I am here to tell you the verdict - is it worth or not changing from the Brow Wiz to the Brow Definer? 

I have used the ABH Brow Wiz probably for almost a year now and I love it. It has a very fine tip that allows you to draw every little brow hair if you'd like. It is very precise and it will give you a very natural brow as you have that very fine and thin tip to work with.

It is also very creamy and waxy, being very easy to apply and will leave your brows in place all day. As you know, I do very long shifts and my brows were always on fleek.

Then the ABH Brow Definer was released and I was not too sure if I should or shouldn't go for it. The shape and thickness of the pencil made me wonder how precise it could be and if it was really worth the hype.
I continued with my so trusted brow wiz but recently I went ahead and bought the  Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Dark Brown.

With such a particular shape, I wanted to find more information on how to use it for best results and so I watched a few YouTube videos on this product - including the one by Anastasia herself that I really recommend. At the end of the day, if you don't know how to use a tool, you will end up with bad results and you can't really blame anyone apart from you.

When applying it on my hand, I found the pencil to be dry and harsh on the skin. So you can imagine that I felt a bit disappointed. Yet, I carried on drawing some lines to really understand how I should hold the pencil for more fine or thick strokes and the product got really creamy and would effortlessly slide on my hand.

Then, I went ahead and started filling in my brows and it was not as easy as I thought. With the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, you have to be very conscious of how you hold it depending on what thickness you desire (as you can see on the video above). So the more you practice with it, the best results you will get.

I found particularly difficult to fill in the beginning of the brow as I really didn't want that very strong look. I like to have less product in that and with this pencil, you really need to know how to use it. Using the sharpest tip of the pencil, you will get very fine strokes that you can use to mimic brow hairs in that particular area and I really loved how it looked.

When you get the hang of it, filling in your brows will take less time and they do look amazing! It actually gives a really natural look that I was not expecting. Remember to use very light hand for a less strong brow.

The spoolie on this pencil is much thicker than the brow wiz and I really like that! It helps to blend the product and avoids any harsh lines for a more natural looking brow.

Overall, I am quite happy with this Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer and the more I use it, the more I actually fall in love with it. I feel like it requires a bit more practice than the brow wiz itself but it is definitely worth it. I don't think I will go back to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz as, for me, the Brow Definer is much more versatile and allows you to be more creative with your brows.

ZOEVA ROSE GOLDEN BLUSH PALETTE

Zoeva Makeup has a special place in my heart since I bought for the first time one of their palettes - the Cocoa Blend Palette. The pigmentation, creaminess and the way the eye shadows blend is out of this world and I easily feel in love with this brand.

When browsing through Beauty Bay a couple of days ago, I came across this beautiful Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette as one of their fairly new launches (I think it was released around February).

The rose gold packaging and the trio itself stole my heart and I really could not resist.

The Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette retails for £13, which I think it is a fair price as you are basically purchasing three products - Heavy Crown, a contour shade; Glowing Still, a highlighter and finally Palace Door, a blusher. The packaging is not only beautifully designed but it is also compact and easy to take on-the-go - such a shame that it has no mirror!

Heavy Crown is a beautiful muted medium brown with a matte finish that will give you a natural contour and a slight bronzed look due to its warm undertones. If you have fair skin this is amazing but if you have more of a darker complexion, it won't be ideal as it is such a light shade. It is very creamy, blendable and buildable so you can intensify the contour as you wish. It won't look cakey as it is very light weight. I loved this shade for an everyday easy contour routine because it is light, so I can just apply a little amount for a natural contour.

Glowing Still can be a bit scary at first because it looks so white and icy, so I could not image how it would look like on the skin but I couldn't have been more surprised. It has a beautiful yellow/golden sheen to it that looks beautiful on the skin. It gives such a sun kissed, natural glow that is perfect for this Spring and Summer. I love how it looks and I know I will be reaching out to this shade quite often.

Palace Door has to be my favourite of this trio. It is a beautiful pinky-peach blusher with warm and gold undertones and a frosted sheen. I thought I wouldn't like the shimmer in a blusher but I was so wrong! It is a subtle highlighting blush that, again, is perfect for this season where you be glowing from within! This shadow is very creamy and so, so easy to blend.

This palette is definitely one that you need in your collection as it is so versatile, affordable, pigmented and long lasting. If you love glowing skin, this is one for you. I can say that I am absolutely in love with the Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette and I will definitely take it with me everywhere I go.
