Maybelline SuperStay 24H Lipstick Review
A 24H stay lipstick is something that every woman is looking for. Who doesn't want to not to worry while you are at a restaurant or even a night out?
I bought my first Maybelline 24H SuperStay Lipstick a couple of weeks ago that I shared in the post, but only recently I gave it a go and I am definitely impressed.
I went for a classic red as I had none and if you are to buy a red lipstick, you better buy one that stays for 24H. And this one does. Double ended, one side with the liquid lipstick and the other side with the ultra-conditioning balm. Beautiful formula, color and durability.
The application is quite easy, using the brush that comes with this liquid lipstick. You can get to every corner quite easily. Also, even though it feels quite drying on the lips, that instantly changes when you apply the balm. That second step is essential and leaves your lips extra soft and you can reapply it as needed. It almost feels like I am wearing no lipstick at all as I don't even have to worry about it.
I love the formula of this liquid lipstick and the way it stays on no matter what! I am obsessed! And when I go back to the UK next week , I will definitely buy and every day color. A pink or something like that. Any advise? You can get it at boots from £6.99 to £8.99 depending on the colors and formulas that you choose.
Have you ever tried this lipstick? Let me know!

Love Yourself | With or Without Makeup
I found that there are so many people out there that don't feel comfortable in their own skin that have to wear makeup even if they go to the shop around the corner. And I totally accept and understand that as I sometimes am like that when I do that many night shifts that I look like I just came back from the death.
And I do find myself feeling a bit uncomfortable when friends come to my place and I don't have make up on. Silly I know but it is just that they are so used to see me with makeup that every time they catch me without it, they just ask why do I look so tired. And that is not a nice thing to hear when you know you had four days off! That is just the way I look. Pale, with dark circles and bags under my eyes and guess what? I accept myself like that and I love it.
Two years ago I didn't know what it was to have foundation on. I just used to apply black eyeliner on my water line and mascara, put on a lip balm and I was good to go. And I felt comfortable with myself. I always did.
But then I was introduced to makeup, a thing that I now love, and I got used to have a flawless and healthy looking skin. A skin with a beautiful glow without feeling uncomfortable and that my skin couldn't breathe. And so, after finding all of this, I wore makeup almost every day , as long as I wasn't on my day off.
Then I started to notice that even if it was to go in a rush to the post to get a parcel, I couldn't go without make up. I had to hide my dark circles, freckles and imperfections. I would feel strange without it. And I didn't like this feeling. The feeling of not feeling myself and confident in my own skin.
I don't have acne, scars or anything that many people have and struggle with it every day. I have an healthy skin. Dry, but healthy. I always remove my makeup very well. The one thing that I didn't use to do was apply moisturizer every day. I am lazy and I used to get away with that.
Now, I am much more careful and caring with my skin. I wash my face with the Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cleanser that I got in my Cohorted beauty box and it smells and feels amazing on your skin. It leaves my skin very soft.
After that I apply the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser Clear . I know that it is a primer but I found out that my skin looks so much healthier on the next day if I apply this at night and on top of it I apply my Nivea Visage Day Cream for Dry/Sensitive Skin.
I will be honest with you: since I started doing this every night I felt so much better and confident with my skin. The skin on my face was not dry anymore and lifeless. It has a natural glow that I love and feel more comfortable. And also, if I do apply makeup (for example on a work day), the foundation goes on so much smoother and lasts longer.
Sometimes, all you need to do is be a little bit more caring with yourself, you deserve it. And for the others not to judge and comment about the way you look, you need to love yourself first and feel comfortable without any "photoshop" on your face.
I already do... do you?

February Lovers
So it is that time of the month again and I can't even believe how fast it has gone. Can you?
As usual, at the end of the month I bring you my monthly favourites and, again, most of them are makeup related as that is what I bought the most this last month (shame on me). If you want to purchase the items, just click on the name and it will re-direct you to Boots website.
So... are you ready for it?
I have mentioned this foundation previously here on the blog and also on instagram and twitter so it was more than obvious that this would be part of my February Favourites. This has been my go to foundation for everything.
It does what is says in the packaging: "no transfer, no visible imperfections, no visible shine, no dry-out and no mask-effect" and also, it stays in place all day. The only place that I do see that it fades and transfers is on my chin because it is the part of my face that I touch the most (you know, while holding my head to write during those long, boring, night shifts for example).
Apart from that, it does the job brilliantly and I guarantee you that. As you know I am a nurse and I do 12 to 13 hour shifts sometimes and my foundation lasts all shift and I always look nice and fresh. Many people comment on how flawless my skin looks and that I don't even look tired so.. It is this foundation. I love it and I will, for sure, re-purchase again and again.
This eye shadow palette has been my loved one, without a doubt. I use this everyday when I am doing my new everyday makeup routine. My favourite eye shadow is the fourth from the top row - a beautiful shimmery gold perfect for a glamorous everyday makeup look that you might have already seen if you follow me on Instagram. I love it. And also, it has the most amazing colors for a night smokey eye. I did a review on this palette here so go and have a look.
You might have seen this product (and the next one) here, when I talked to you about my Cohorted Beauty Box. According to what it said in the guide that I got, this product is
"A luminous lotion that effectively removes make-up and dead skin, giving a luxurious exfoliating treatment. Acting as a perfect beauty regime product for smoother skin."
I have been using this lotion since I came to Madeira (one week and something ago) and I have been loving it. It removes my makeup so easily and it smells lovely. I do use it to remove my eye makeup as there is no information to not do it but I do have to be careful because it does burn my eyes. But for now, I am still removing my eye makeup with this one because I am on holidays and I don't have my Garnier Makeup Remover that I also love. So when I get home I will probably just use this one to remove my face makeup and use the Garnier one to remove my eye makeup.
Otherwise, this Dolce & Gabanna lotion is fantastic. I really like how it leave my skin feeling really soft and smelling lovely.
And I just noticed that this product is on sale at the Secret Sales website. Go for it!
This is another product that came in my Cohorted Beauty Box and I am so thankful for it. Everything I look at it and see that it is a size sample I am so sad about it as I don't want it to run out while I am out of the UK. It gives volume to my eyelashes beautifully and it separates them as no mascara has done it until now. I apply 2 or 3 coats of this mascara and I feel like I have long, long lashes.
My lashes are so tiny that it is so hard for a mascara to do this so this Bobbi Brown one is really, really good. I won't mind spending some extra pounds with this mascara. Or if you know a drugstore dupe for this one, I would be more than grateful for that! I just love how my eye lashes look with this mascara. Oh...
Another one that I already mentioned here on my blog. It is my savior when it comes to a perfect cat eye. I don't have to say more about it. Just read my review clicking here, you won't regret . I promise.
I got this blush the same day that I got my foundation that I mentioned above and I don't regret it. I bought it because I really needed one as my essence blush was running out and when I saw this one, I fell in love. It is a beautiful pink with a subtle amount of shimmer, barely noticeable but that makes all the difference. It has been my everyday blush not only because it is the only one I have (haha) but just because I feel that it is perfect and I don't need any other blush in my life. That's it.
L'oreal Paris and Calvin Klein Lipsticks
I have been loving these two lipsticks not on their own but as a combo. I apply the L'oreal Color Riche Lipstick in the shade 371 Pink Passion first, and then on top of that one, the CK lipstick in the shade Venus and it gives me a beautiful peachy pink, bright lipstick perfect for spring. And I know that it is not spring yet but here in Madeira the weather has been so nice, warm and sunny that I feel the need to wear a bright lipstick so.. these are the ones!
Finishing the makeup section of these favourites, I thought I should share one photo of me wearing the majority of these products. One photo that I shared before but anyways, here it is. At least you can see how the foundation, blush and other things look on my skin.
________________________________________________
To finish this months favourites, I am gonna share something not makeup related, for a change! haha
I have been loving these three products:
# H&M Skinny Jeans - I can't actually find them on the website but they are pretty similar to these ones, except that it is regular waist instead of low. I don't do low waist anymore!
I love these jeans because the flatter my body shape and they go with everything. I love a light color jeans and these are the ones for me.
# H&M Sunglasses - I got these sunglasses a few days ago. I love my River Island ones but I wanted to change and even if I didn't change to something pretty dramatic and different, I still love them. A black, classic sunglasses that suit my face shape. I really like them!
# Sony Foldable Headphones - These headphones have been my best friends during the flights and train journeys. And also, when I watch my series on my laptop and just listen to music while writting on the blog, just like I am doing now. Nice and clear sound and they are also gorgeous! I got the white ones and I love them. You just need to be careful when you wear foundation haha.

Master Graphic Eyeliner Review by Maybelline New York
Hello lovelies!
It has been a long time since I started looking for the perfect eyeliner pen/gel or liquid. I just couldn't find one that was perfect for beginners, that would give me a perfect matte black eyeliner.
This all stopped when I saw a video of the YouTuber Lauren Curtis, talking about the Maybelline New York Master Graphic Eyeliner. She did a video about it, click here.
So I decided to give it a try. Went to Boots and bought it for £5,99.
When I saw the video, what made me have the decision that I have to buy it was the fact that it was a pen with an angled tip. Which should make it easier to do the cat eye flick. And it does! Here is a photo of the Master Graphic Eyeliner, open.
I do love this tip. And it is so pigmented! You can get that black eyeliner so easily. Of course that this won't make the eyeliner look perfect as easy as that. It does need some practice but I can say for sure that it is the one that made everything easier for me. I don't do eyeliner not even cat eye. I never did until I met this eyeliner pen. It made everything easier for me. I have only used it 3 or 4 times to do my eyeliner and even though I know I am not a pro a it just yet, I am always happy with how it turns out.
So if you do struggle doing your eyeliner like me, you must try this one. I love it so much! Next is a photo of me today, with my far from perfect cat eye. But a cat eye that I loved and makes me feel so confident and sexy!
Have you ever tried this eyeliner pen? xx
Love,
