Monthly Favourites // July

Monthly_Favourites_July
This has to be my favourite time of the month - the time where I look through all the new things I bought and realize that there might be a few that I haven't stopped using since. So that is what I am here to share with you today - my absolute favourite products of this past month and I have some great ones to share with you!
____________________________________

This past month I discovered a few great products (meaning that I probably spent more money than I should) and the one that I can't take my hand of is the beautiful Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. Yes, it is pricey but you get the quality of an amazing brand that is ABH. I do not regret even a little bit of buying this palette. Since I bought it, is has been my go to eye shadow palette. There are so many looks that you can achieve, it is so versatile, super pigmented and the shadows are so, so easy to blend! Read my full review here.

L'oréal has to be my favourite brand of the month (if not year). They have a great makeup range and also skin care. You probably have noticed that I have been featuring a lot of L'oréal Paris products and that is honestly because I love the brand. I believe they have the best makeup and skin care products and it is always my "go-to" brand when I am looking for something special.
This month there is actually three products that I absolutely can't live without.

First is the amazing L'oreal Paris Lumi Magique Cushion Foundation. This was one of the L'oréal new releases and they are doing soooo well! I love this foundation. It is dewy, it has a buildable coverage that I love and it is long lasting. It is my go-to foundation when I have a tan on (I still need to buy my no fake tan shade). I also reviewed this product on the blog, you can read it here.

The new L'oréal Paris Pure Clay Glow Mask is also a big favourite! I have already reviewed this product on the blog, as always, and I got really great feedback from you guys. I do hope that you have already tried any of the Pure Clay face masks as they are definitely amazing! It leaves my skin so soft and with such a natural glow. Absolutely in love with it.

To stick with the dewy and glowing skin, another must have for me is the L'oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer. Again, if you want to know more, you can read my full review here. It leaves your skin with a beautiful glow and even base to apply your foundation.

Maybelline_Superstay_24h_Setting_Spray

A fixing spray is something I never felt the need to have in my makeup collection. I always thought that applying it or not didn't really make a difference until I found the Maybelline Superstay 24H Setting Spray. I bought this only a week or so ago because I love their Superstay 24H Lipsticks and so I thought I would give it a go and I am so happy I did.
This spray makes my makeup last much longer. I notice that my foundation stays flawless for a longer period of time, specially when I work those crazy 12 hour shifts. I am so happy with it. It is great for any occasion but specially for those special days where you have a night out, dinner or wedding you have to attend. This will definitely make your makeup look flawless for much longer.

To finish the monthly favourites, last but not least is the Essie Nail Polish in the color Sunset Sneaks. It has a very spring/summery color. Bright, colorful, almost sort of neon. It is such a beautiful nail polish and definitely makes me feel all ready for a beautiful summer day.

And this is the end of a very long but exciting post - at least for me! Share with me your absolute favourites of this month. I love trying out new products.

Monthly Favourites // March

Monthly Favourites
April is just around the corner  and that means that it is time for this month's favourites! Although March was not a month of a lot of new beauty discoveries, there was a lot of old products I rediscovered and have been loving. This month's favourites is not only focused in beauty products but also a couple of general stuff here and there.

First of all, we'll start with beauty. If there is something that I have been wearing non-stop during the month of March it has to be the L'oreal Paris Infallible Sculpt Contouring Base. I have already reviewed this foundation on the blog, here, but it needs it's spot in this month's favourites. I have been using this foundation as long as I have to wear makeup! Perfect color match, amazing to blend, beautiful coverage and great staying power - everything you could ask for in a foundation. If you haven't tried it it, just go. Stop reading this and run to your nearest Boots or Superdrug.

Beauty Favourites
If you read my last post, you know I have been trying out false nails and while I am not a big fan of the ones with strange designs, I am all for the totally bare nails to then apply nail polish. I have been loving nude nails and recently I discovered a beautiful pink nude nail polish - the Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer in the shade 372. It is so beautiful and it goes with any outfit. I can't stand having a pink nail polish and having totally different coloured outfits.

Spring as sprung and with that, my matte bright lipsticks came out of their closet and have been showing off these last couple of weeks. The star of the show has been the Maybelline Siren in Scarlet - a beautiful matte red lipstick with an orange undertone. I think that this is a shade that compliments not only people with fair skin but also tanned and I have been loving it. Although it is matte, it does not dry your lips, the application is very smooth and the lasting power is impressive.

Quay Australia My Girl Sunglasses
Another thing that I cannot help but to mention is these beautiful Quay Australia Sunglasses in the style "My Girl". I bought them on ASOS and I could not be more in love with them. They look amazing and the style is so pretty. It gives any boring outfit a nice twist! I love it!

Leaving the beauty department aside, I have to mention the book I am currently reading - Disclaimer by Renee Knigth. An amazing thriller that you will get stuck with easily. I am halfway through it and I love how intriguing it is. It has the perfect amount of suspense that will make you want to devour this book. You should definitely grab it and start reading it.
Facetune was an app that I have heard many people talk about but the more they would rave about it, the less curious I was. Anyways, recently while browsing through Google Play Store I came across it and decided to give a go - for only £1.90, nothing could go wrong! I am so happy I decided to buy it because this is one of the best apps I have to edit my photos. I don't use it to do any big changes on my face but one feature that I love is how you can whiten your background. It is great to keep your white themed Instagram if you are one of them!

Last but not least, if you love Blues, you should listen to one of the Aurea's new songs. Aurea is a Portuguese singer and songwriter that is making a huge success in the music industry. One of my favourite songs from her new album is I Didn't Mean It. You should definitely click play. I bet you will love it!

And this is the end of March Monthly Favourites! Have you tried any of these products? What is your favourite product this month? Let me know in the comments bellow!

May Lovers | Monthly Favourites

How did this happen? You close your eyes for a second , June is here and May is long gone! This is going way to fast!
All of you know that end of the month means monthly favourites and I am back with that. My last post of this kind was way back in February and even though I have a lot more to show you, these are my top favourites from the last three hat I have not shared with you.
Most of them are beauty related as I rarely share any fashion favs. Just because I can't get the photography on point so when I do, I will be more than happy to do a few blog posts with it. Let's start!

1 - Zara Sunglasses - I am in love with these sunglasses. I have been wearing them non stop for a few months now. I bought them the last time I was in Madeira (around February) at Zara for €15.99. They go with everything and are so classy and stylish. I love them. Can't find them online , guess they are from the old collection. But I found some very simillar here.

2 - Real Techniques Sculpting and Fan Brush - surprise, surprise, Real Techniques in my monthly favourites. As you know, I bought the sculpting set not long ago (maybe four or five days) but I had to mention them in my monthly favourites. I know I have not used them for that long but, girl, I know when I have a life favourite in front of me and these are two of them. Love them to pieces and you can read more about them in my previous post here.

3 - L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper - this has been my biggest secret for my full eyebrows. I never tried the Benefit but I have read many reviews that say that the results with this one is as amazing as many other high end ones. I love it, my eyebrows look fuller and perfect. I normally apply it after filling in my eyebrows with the Make Up Revolution Brow Kit.

4 - Make Up Revolution Iconic Palette 2 - I bought this palette not long ago and I adore it for the simple fact that you can either create a simple, natural, day look or a outstanding smokey eye for an evening out. Very affordable and good quality, a nice dupe to the Lorac Pro 2 Palette. Make Up Revolution as been my favourite drugstore brand when it comes to make up palettes. Love, love, love.

5 - Make Up Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Sugar & Spice - Again, Make Up Revolution. Before having this palette, I only owned one blush. One. And every time I  though about buying a different one, I never knew what to go for. Then I saw this palette and I immediately though about buying it as, again, it was very affordable and also there was not only one but six blushes and two highlighters. Why buying one from L'oreal or other for the same price as this palette that gives you six blushes to choose for? Right?
So I bought it and I am absolutely in love with it. My favourite of this palette is the highlighter, the fourth on the top row. It looks amazing in my skin, such a beautiful glow. I am impressed! Totally advise this palette.

6 - Gerard Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Candy Kiss - if you follow Shaaanxo on YouTube you probably have heard about this Lip Gloss. I have it, I love it, I want more.
At first I wasn't too sure as it is quite of a light pinky shade that does not suit my skin tone but if I apply it after any pink lipstick that I have, it looks stunning. I just can not get over it. Go ahead and buy it. Shaaanxo has so many discount codes that you can use and it is worth it!

7 - Revlon Color Bust Matte Lip Balm in 205 -  I participated in a contest with Revlon to win a trip to Paris and I did not win. But what I received as a gift for participation was this Matte Lip Balm in a lovely pink shade that I adore. Very natural looking, easy to apply. Perfect for an everyday makeup. It is my go to Lip Balm. I wear it everyday for work and I got so many compliments about it.

February Lovers

February Favourites
So it is that time of the month again and I can't even believe how fast it has gone. Can you?
As usual, at the end of the month I bring you my monthly favourites and, again, most of them are makeup related as that is what I bought the most this last month (shame on me). If you want to purchase the items, just click on the name and it will re-direct you to Boots website.

So... are you ready for it?

L'oreal Paris Infallible Stay Fresh Foundation Review

I have mentioned this foundation previously here on the blog and also on instagram and twitter so it was more than obvious that this would be part of my February Favourites. This has been my go to foundation for everything.
It does what is says in the packaging: "no transfer, no visible imperfections, no visible shine, no dry-out and no mask-effect" and also, it stays in place all day. The only place that I do see that it fades and transfers is on my chin because it is the part of my face that I touch the most (you know, while holding my head to write during those long, boring, night shifts for example).
Apart from that, it does the job brilliantly and I guarantee you that. As you know I am a nurse and I do 12 to 13 hour shifts sometimes and my foundation lasts all shift and I always look nice and fresh. Many people comment on how flawless my skin looks and that I don't even look tired so.. It is this foundation. I love it and I will, for sure, re-purchase again and again.

No7 Mini Eye Pallete Special Edition

This eye shadow palette has been my loved one, without a doubt. I use this everyday when I am doing my new everyday makeup routine. My favourite eye shadow is the fourth from the top row - a beautiful shimmery gold perfect for a glamorous everyday makeup look that you might have already seen if you follow me on Instagram. I love it. And also, it has the most amazing colors for a night smokey eye. I did a review on this palette here so go and have a look.

Dolce & Gabbana Clarifying Lotion Review

You might have seen this product (and the next one) here, when I talked to you about my Cohorted Beauty Box. According to what it said in the guide that I got, this product is

"A luminous lotion that effectively removes make-up and dead skin, giving a luxurious exfoliating treatment. Acting as a perfect beauty regime product for smoother skin."

I have been using this lotion since I came to Madeira (one week and something ago) and I have been loving it. It removes my makeup so easily and it smells lovely. I do use it to remove my eye makeup as there is no information to not do it but I do have to be careful because it does burn my eyes. But for now, I am still removing my eye makeup with this one because I am on holidays and I don't have my Garnier Makeup Remover that I also love. So when I get home I will probably just use this one to remove my face makeup and use the Garnier one to remove my eye makeup.
Otherwise, this Dolce & Gabanna lotion is fantastic. I really like how it leave my skin feeling really soft and smelling lovely.
And I just noticed that this product is on sale at the Secret Sales website. Go for it!

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara Review

This is another product that came in my Cohorted Beauty Box and I am so thankful for it. Everything I look at it and see that it is a size sample I am so sad about it as I don't want it to run out while I am out of the UK. It gives volume to my eyelashes beautifully and it separates them as no mascara has done it until now. I apply 2 or 3 coats of this mascara and I feel like I have long, long lashes.
My lashes are so tiny that it is so hard for a mascara to do this so this Bobbi Brown one is really, really good. I won't mind spending some extra pounds with this mascara. Or if you know a drugstore dupe for this one, I would be more than grateful for that! I just love how my eye lashes look with this mascara. Oh...

Another one that I already mentioned here on my blog. It is my savior when it comes to a perfect cat eye. I don't have to say more about it. Just read my review clicking here, you won't regret . I promise.

I got this blush the same day that I got my foundation that I mentioned above and I don't regret it. I bought it because I really needed one as my essence blush was running out and when I saw this one, I fell in love. It is a beautiful pink with a subtle amount of shimmer, barely noticeable but that makes all the difference. It has been my everyday blush not only because it is the only one I have (haha) but just because I feel that it is perfect and I don't need any other blush in my life. That's it.

L'oreal Paris and Calvin Klein Lipsticks

L'oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick

I have been loving these two lipsticks not on their own but as a combo. I apply the L'oreal Color Riche Lipstick in the shade 371 Pink Passion first, and then on top of that one, the CK lipstick in the shade Venus and it gives me a beautiful peachy pink, bright lipstick perfect for spring. And I know that it is not spring yet but here in Madeira the weather has been so nice, warm and sunny that I feel the need to wear a bright lipstick so.. these are the ones!

Finishing the makeup section of these favourites, I thought I should share one photo of me wearing the majority of these products. One photo that I shared before but anyways, here it is. At least you can see how the foundation, blush and other things look on my skin.

L'oreal Paris Infallible Foundation

 ________________________________________________

To finish this months favourites, I am gonna share something not makeup related, for a change! haha
I have been loving these three products:

H&M jeans and sunglasses

H&M Skinny Jeans  - I can't actually find them on the website but they are pretty similar to these ones, except that it is regular waist instead of low. I don't do low waist anymore!
I love these jeans because the flatter my body shape and they go with everything. I love a light color jeans and these are the ones for me.

# H&M Sunglasses - I got these sunglasses a few days ago. I love my River Island ones but I wanted to change and even if I didn't change to something pretty dramatic and different, I still love them. A black, classic sunglasses that suit my face shape. I really like them!

# Sony Foldable Headphones - These headphones have been my best friends during the flights and train journeys. And also, when I watch my series on my laptop and just listen to music while writting on the blog, just like I am doing now. Nice and clear sound and they are also gorgeous! I got the white ones and I love them. You just need to be careful when you wear foundation haha.
